"ICE AND ART".

Die Schöpfungen HÖDL´s, der sich seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten der Bearbeitung von Eis widmet, tragen zur Bereicherung zahlreicher Veranstaltungen bei.

Kunstwerke aus Eis heißt,Vergänglichkeit spüren,die Bedeutung des Augenblickes erkennen. Dem Betrachter eines Kunstwerkes aus Eis wird unweigerlich klar: " Diese Welt aus gefrorenem Wasser kann noch so groß sein - sie ist nur ein Ausdruck der Natur, und wird später unweigerlich zum Schmelzen gebracht. Durch Eiskristalle spricht die Natur ihre künstlerische Sprache. Eis als vergängliche Urgewalt dieser Erde ist Inspiration und Arbeitsmaterial zugleich. Die Assoziation zu Reinheit und die Brechung des Lichtes hinterlässt bleibende,einzigartige Eindrücke - und das ist das Wunderbare an Eis : Nichts bleibt zurück, nur einprägsame Bilder in der Erinnerung, die man nie wieder vergessen wird. Diese Faszination verstärkt den Dialog mit dem Kunstwerk und dynamisiert den Dialog zum Künstler

Works of art made of ice symbolise the transitory nature of existence - they invite us to appreciate the importance of the moment. The observer of ice art cannot help but realise that "this world of frozen water, whatever its size, is no more than an expression of nature - its destruction is inevitable, it will melt". The ice crystals are nature's very own way of "speaking" art. Ice as a transitory elemental force of the world is both an inspiration and a working material. Nothing rivals the experience of ice - its association with purity, the refraction of light create a unique impression. Nothing is left behind, only arresting images one will never forget.
